Splash was a character. When you kissed his nose he licked your
face. As a youngster he was full of antics. He would run off bucking
or kick up his heels after a jump. But he grew up to be a fine
gentleman. So much so that one day it was Splash who was chosen
out of quite a large show barn to be the mount for an actress playing
at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis. Louise of Alpine Farm did
not want to take a chance of anything happening before opening
night. Splash was the one to trust. Splash, rest in peace my good
buddy. You are home in my heart.
